New Venue In Hartford And Pixies Coming To Waterbury Palace Theater!

We are proud to announce that we have begun working with a wonderful new performance space in Hartford! The AETNA THEATER is a beautiful 280 capacity seated theater located at the WADSWORTH ATHENEUM MUSEUM OF ART. The venue is ALL AGES with a bar in the lobby for those who are 21+ and would like to drink. For those not in the know, it is the oldest public art museum in the United States, was founded in 1842 by Daniel Wadsworth, one of the first important American patrons of the arts!

We have already done three successful events there this summer (AMANDA SHIRES, EARTH and most recently a crazy double bill with WYE OAK and MARISSA NADLER). We have 1 more planned for the summer, On August 23rd we have COLIN STETSON (who you may recognize from little bands like ARCADE FIRE and BELL ORCHESTRE!) with multi-instrumentalist EMILY WELLS.

Once the Fall begins we will be hosting events there regularly and are very excited about this new partnership. We have just announced shows there featuring XIU XIU, WHY?, THE ALBUM LEAF, and THE BESNARD LAKES and will have a bunch more announcements in the coming weeks. Tickets are available both online via our Web site and our no fee box office at Redscroll Records (located at 24 North Colony Street, Wallingford)

Check out THE FEAST for a feature written on this new room and partnership:

We also wanted to let you know about a great new relationship with local company Premier Concerts (they put on events at The Palace Theater, Backstage Live, Ives Concert Park and other cool spaces in the area!) At this moment we are promoting 2 events with them: On August 3rd GUSTER and RA RA RIOT perform at the Ives Concert Park in Danbury and Oct 29th PIXIES perform their classic 1989 album “Doolittle” with special guests SURFER BLOOD @ The Palace Theater in Waterbury. Tickets for these shows are on sale on our Website (but will NOT be available for purchase at the Redscroll Records box office at any time)

Thanks for the support!
